Have you ever wanted to travel in France?  Provence, perhaps?  Did you put off your plans because no one would go with you?

Those of you who have been following Mia Terra Blog for a while know that I often focus on solo travel, particularly for women.  Traveling alone can be intimidating, if not downright frightening.  If you travel abroad to a country where you don’t know the language, you may run into many stumbling blocks when it comes to communication, and that could get messy.

Take heart.  There’s a new service I just learned about through Julie at Provence Post, and I wanted to share it with you.  Travel Solo Bootcamp, based in Aix-en-Provence, France, will help women traveling alone in France avoid the pitfalls of solo travel and gain the confidence and freedom to enjoy this beautiful, feminine country. In the program, women stay alone in their own apartments.  They will get instruction on language, etiquette and history and will be given fun daily tasks to accomplish on their own in the lovely city of Aix.  Tasks range from shopping, to meeting people, to cooking classes – all of them fun and designed to help the female traveler learn how to navigate France tout seul.  Each bootcamp is limited to 8 women.

Bon voyage!
